ABOUT Eight 30 Records:

Jenni Finlay and Brian T. Atkinson co-own Eight 30 Records, which has released Cold and Bitter Tears: A Tribute to Ted Hawkins, Danny Barnes' Got Myself Together (Ten Years Later), Dreamer: A Tribute to Kent Finlay, Highway Prayer: A Tribute to Adam Carroll and Floater: A Tribute to the Tributes to Gary Floater in the past couple years. Atkinson's liner notes have appeared in each album, as well as in the Grammy-nominated compilation This One's for Him: A Tribute to Guy Clark. Finlay and Atkinson co-wrote Kent Finlay, Dreamer, which was published through Texas A&M University Press in 2016. Additionally, Atkinson is the author of I’ll Be Here in the Morning: The Songwriting Legacy of Townes Van Zandt and has completed The Messenger: The Songwriting Legacy of Ray Wylie Hubbard (TAMU Press, 2019).

Finlay serves as artist manager for legendary singer-songwriter James McMurtry and has promoted the Grammy-nominated compilation, This One's For Him: A Tribute to Guy Clark as well as dozens and dozens others including the tributes Looking Into You: A Tribute to Jackson Browne, The Music Is You: A Tribute to John Denver, Divided and United: The Songs of the Civil War, Ribbon of Highway, Endless Skyway: A Tribute to Woody Guthrie.
